   This cozy little inn is filled with the sweet smell of maple syrup and
orange juice.  Several polished wooden tables stand about the room, and a
row of wide booths line the southern wall.  All the chairs and booth seats
are covered in soft quilted cushions, and have high cushioned backs.  A bar
spans the length of the inn, and several wide stools sit in front of it.  
In the northwest corner, a carpeted wooden staircase leads to the rooms
upstairs.

   With every step taken, or every foot floated over, this road sings
another note of its song to you.  A cozy building with two floors lies to

Songspells.  For a split second the road directly underfoot glows a soft
blue and then returns to normal.  The road itself seems to carry a spirit
and an energy that is lacking in even many humans, and while travelling its
length, a subtle melody plays in your head.

   A set of wide, white marble steps meet the ground just off the north
edge of the street.  They lead into the grand Church of Light, where
hundreds of good folk go to worship their holy gods.  To the south stands a
single story building that looks like a miniature replica of the church.  
Pale yellow light pours out of the windows of the building, and a round
wooden sign hangs from a bracket near the door.

   The road passes directly in front of the right side of the great church.
Two evenly spaced stained glass windows are set into the stone of the
building.  Each is flat at the bottom and tapers to a dull point at the
top.  From here you can see the frontmost butress that extends out from the

The road heads northward toward the organized chaos that is the merchant
district of the city.  To the south, the street leads into the dirty and

   The road here heads westward, toward the mighty, protected ramparts of

the east.

The Grand City of Moldavia
    The bustling city spreads out before you to the north.  Here is the
place where just about anything (or anyone) can be bought and sold if 
the price is right.  Being a thouroughfare for many peoples from around
the land, the city guards and most of the townspeople are used to and 
tolerant of all races.  It would be wise, however, to try to stay out of
trouble, especially with the merchants, who are the real citizens under
the protection of the guard.

Moldavia City South Gate
   From the southern fields and forests, you arrive at a fortified double
gate.  A set of two heavy iron doors are mounted on solid square columns of
glossy black stone, standing proudly to either side of the incoming road.
A black marble lion's head adorns the top of each column, snarling angrily
at would-be intruders.  The slightly arching black top of the doorframe
holds a series of waving green flags, the official color of the Moldaiva
city-state.  Extending far to the east and west from this imposing gate,
the black stone of the city wall divides the urban streets from the
southern wilderness.

   You stand before the towering black walls that enclose the southern
section of Moldavia City.  A pillar of shimmering black stone stands to
either side of the road ahead, and two large guards stand poised at the
archway over the heavy iron doors.  Surely these defenses would stop any
invasion from the south.

   The dusty south road divides a small patch of unplanted field in half as
it heads northward toward the city.  Flowers and weeds alongside the edge

   Here the road crosses a series of dense bushes that separate the south

earthen floor covered in dead leaves and small plants.  Certainly nothing
to be afraid of here.

The Old Wooden Bridge
   The forest road stops briefly at this ancient looking wooden bridge,
which spans across a wide but shallow forest stream.  The stream could be
easily walked across, but the bridge just helps make travelling both drier
and safer.  The bridge itself arches slightly as it passes from one side of
the stream to the other, with wooden handrails on either side.  You can
hear the water trickle and bubble over the rocks as it passes underneath
the bridge.  All seems calm and serene.

The Old Wooden Bridge
   The forest road stops briefly at this ancient looking wooden bridge,
which spans across a wide but shallow forest stream.  The stream could be
easily walked across, but the bridge just helps make travelling both drier
and safer.  The bridge itself arches slightly as it passes from one side of
the stream to the other, with wooden handrails on either side.  You can
hear the water trickle and bubble over the rocks as it passes underneath
the bridge.  All seems calm and serene.

At the Forest Edge
   Here the road crosses a series of dense bushes that separate the south
plains from the forest.  Looking into the woods from here, it doesnt seem
so bad.  Just looks like your typical normal woods - a bunch of trees both

earthen floor covered in dead leaves and small plants.  Certainly nothing
to be afraid of here.

Outside the Southern Gates
   You stand before the towering black walls that enclose the southern
section of Moldavia City.  A pillar of shimmering black stone stands to
either side of the road ahead, and two large guards stand poised at the
archway over the heavy iron doors.  Surely these defenses would stop any
invasion from the south.

Moldavia City South Gate
   From the southern fields and forests, you arrive at a fortified double
gate.  A set of two heavy iron doors are mounted on solid square columns of
glossy black stone, standing proudly to either side of the incoming road.
A black marble lion's head adorns the top of each column, snarling angrily
at would-be intruders.  The slightly arching black top of the doorframe
holds a series of waving green flags, the official color of the Moldaiva
city-state.  Extending far to the east and west from this imposing gate,
the black stone of the city wall divides the urban streets from the
southern wilderness.

The Grand City of Moldavia
    The bustling city spreads out before you to the north.  Here is the
place where just about anything (or anyone) can be bought and sold if 
the price is right.  Being a thouroughfare for many peoples from around
the land, the city guards and most of the townspeople are used to and 
tolerant of all races.  It would be wise, however, to try to stay out of
trouble, especially with the merchants, who are the real citizens under
the protection of the guard.

   The road here heads westward, toward the mighty, protected ramparts of
Moldavia's southern gate, and eastward toward Fuligan street.  To the north

the east.

   The road continues between the park and the slums, and comes to an
intersection as it meets Fountain Lane to the south.  Standing on either
side of the road is a tall lantern post, as is common throughout the city.

that once held the glass of the lantern box.

   A set of wide, white marble steps meet the ground just off the north
edge of the street.  They lead into the grand Church of Light, where
hundreds of good folk go to worship their holy gods.  To the south stands a
single story building that looks like a miniature replica of the church.

   This section of road stands just in front of the left side of the great
church.  Set deep into its stone walls are two evenly spaced tapered
windows, each made of delicate sectional glass and stained a dozen

   Standing before you is a massive, elegant fountain, one of the most
magnificent in all the lands.  The stone statue is easily thirty feet tall,

the fountain in the middle of a field and built the city of Moldavia around
it - by all accounts it is hundreds of years old.  Cool, clear water issues
forth from the fountain, beckoning you to take a drink.

   The path comes to an intersection here between the eastern park entrance
and the fountain.  A black pole, about six feet high, holds a lantern box
at the top to light up the park at night.

Fountain of the Gods
   Standing before you is a massive, elegant fountain, one of the most
magnificent in all the lands.  The stone statue is easily thirty feet tall,
and is carved exquisitely.  Nobody really knows where the fountain came
from or how old it is, but legends tell that some wandering peasants found
the fountain in the middle of a field and built the city of Moldavia around
it - by all accounts it is hundreds of years old.  Cool, clear water issues
forth from the fountain, beckoning you to take a drink.

The Horizon
   This infinite area exists where the Sky collides with the Earth, in an
enigma termed "the Horizon".  It was created as a quirk in the fabric of
the space-time continuum in the first instant of the universe's creation,
and has remained permanently unchanged since.  Many scholars have formed
theories as to the true nature of its power, and some have theorized that
if this location were destroyed, the universe would shortly follow.
